DSA is a separate topic about content that is separate from the GDPR. No one in this thread advocated for DSA in this country, as it suffers from the Hungary issue of it being potentially abused by its worst member states.

That is a nothingburger of a sentence. Existing laws regulating data privacy in healthcare and financial industries have been upheld in court without violating 1A. Unless you're in favor of repealing HIPAA, you should not be opposed to a data privacy bill.

Where do you think the money made from ad revenues go to or money from sponsorships is pulled from? They have bank accounts, assets, and employees that are within US jurisdiction or treaties. And Europe is doing just fine enforcing data privacy laws on TikTok.

And the answer is a data privacy bill consistently yelled by actual privacy experts as Himes alluded to. When folks like @evacide.bsky.social who literally removes stalkerware from domestic violence victims calls a ban a sham, that is a good sign to go back to the drawing board.

This, at least Biden has renounced the Hyde Amendment and stood firm on his abortion policy for the military. My senator, Bob Casey, still supports the Hyde Amendment even in '22 and has no plan to remove the Comstock Act.
