I guess I need to just start using this site instead of lurking.

Hi! My name is Ty, at least until I get off my ass and go legally change my name to Casper. I'm a huge horror fan and that's by far my biggest passion in life.
I'm bout to make sure Jason's not alone in having mommy issues 🥵

I wish algorithms would learn I do not wish to see the names of any fascists and the algorithm should instead show me exclusively horror content and funny animal videos. Thanks

I've never seen any adaptations of the Phantom of the Opera except the 2004 musical, but I have read the novel. I'm so very excited to finally knock this Lon Chaney classic off my list. Thanks @shudder.com @therealjoebob123.bsky.social @darcythemailgirl.bsky.social!

I can't wait til Letterboxd adds support for television, primarily because I can't wait for the website to be consistent about what it includes and doesn't include. Right now it's a crapshoot whether a show will be included or not. Squid Game is on there, but many other popular short shows aren't?

Humans are fascinating. We are capable of such beautiful, amazing, incredible things. But also capable of the most vile, evil, cruel acts. And the pursuit of money and/or power is consistently the #1 reason why humans suck. There has to be a better system.

I am not an actor but I agree. I remember in the special features of LOST they released Matthew Fox's read for Sawyer and he got so much hate for how "terrible" he would have done as Sawyer. But we don't know that, the Sawyer we got was Josh Holloway's interpretation that he built over years.

When I was a teen / early 20s, I had so much time to do anything I wanted but no money. Now I make decent money and have purchased an absolute insane amount of options to fill my free time, but I have no time to do anything. The system sucks.

If you don't like @nicklutsko.bsky.social's music you can just get out of my face. He produces some of the catchiest music I've *ever* heard. His shit posts are bangers, his serious songs are bangers, he's funny as shit, he loves Halloween, and he's on the right side of history. Check him out!

I think I'm gonna show my wife Train to Busan tonight. I could use a good cry.

I think both can be true.

It is entirely possible, and in fact I'd say highly *likely,* considering his statements & the evidence, that they cheated to win the election.

But it's also possible that more American voters are racist & sexist than we thought, and it truly sucks. 🤷☹️

I feel so pessimistic for the future, but indie horror that pushes limits finally getting a release date is a win I'll celebrate.

I'm still so deeply upset. I know it's somewhat irrational because I never met the guy. But his art made such a powerful impact on me, and his autobiography was so relatable for me, and his mannerisms so endearing, that losing David Lynch feels like a loss akin to losing a best friend. RIP.

Not impressed with 2025 so far. LA fires destroying so many lives, which likely led to the death of David Lynch - my favorite director and one of my favorite humans ever - and in 3 days the orange buffoon gets inaugurated again. I don't wish to participate anymore ☹️

My favorite director, and one of my favorite humans. Twin Peaks is a piece of art that affected me more powerfully than any other. I'm so grateful for this man and everything he gave the world. I'm devastated. ☹️
The visionary David Lynch is gone. There are no words. Rest in peace to an absolute original.

My wife and I had quite the movie marathon today, a combination of films I'm very confident has never been watched in one day before. Prove me wrong. Good fucking day, though.

My first time watch of Anora, btw, and wowee what a phenomenal film. Loved it!

So fucking well deserved. That film was incredible and she was a significant reason as to why.

Just showed my wife The Hunchback of Notre Dame for her first time, and I stand by my opinion that it's my favorite Disney movie by a LOT. I consider it an absolute masterpiece. Here's my Letterboxd review as to why! letterboxd.com/theludlowrea...

Some people have accused me of having recency bias too often when I watch movies, because I tend to *love* many newer movies. But I could easily turn it around and accuse people of having primacy bias. They judge newer films more harshly than they'd ever judge one of their older favorites.

I got a PS VR2 for Christmas and at first I was SO EXCITED. And, like, I'm still excited, but I have since learned the vast majority of PSVR1 games aren't backwards compatible with the new system. First world problem, but definitely a bummer.

Can y'all please stop hyperfocusing on the moustache? It's such a dumb thing to ignore the rest of a phenomenal movie over (plus it didn't even look bad and it's book accurate 🤫)

I got my first professional massage ever yesterday and boy I had some *knots* in my shoulders. My masseuse rubbed the shit out of my shoulders, I was in agony during the massage and they are sooooo sore today. But it was much needed!
