A true thing about me is that I wrote my first poyim as a child in Texas and was so embarrassed about how I said the word that I didn’t say it for YEARS until I started my BFA program and would quietly say “poem” to myself over and over in my room.

Also we’d recently eaten and the triage nurses were like we can’t give you pain meds, sorry! Until my doctor arrived and was like please give her a spinal, the turkey sandwich was six hours ago. But I really thought I was not going to get pain meds for a hot minute.
