That's also the same reason they were blindsided by the 2019 Hong Kong democracy protests, isn't it? The office responsible for monitoring HK's intergration into China just kept telling them what they wanted to hear

I had migraines so bad as a child that my doctor put me on adult-strength medication because anything weaker wouldn't even touch them. Even then, they could last days.

These people have already shown total, uncompromising commitment to crashing the plane over and over. Why would they now choose to stop? Particularly Labour, who have until now only been rewarded beyond their wildest dreams for strapping in and pointing the nose of the plane at the mountainside.

The whole Brexit debacle was one huge case study in: If the government completely fucks everyone out of sheer incompetence, will they confess and beg the passengers’ forgiveness? Or will the flight crew lock the cabin door and fly the plane into the ground, so they can keep command of the wreckage.

It needs to be said, over and over again, every time - if gambling was legit, it would not exist as a business, and if a method of gambling exists in the form of a business that is evidence that it is not legit.

Depressingly, gigantic American-style trucks seem to be catching on the UK despite half or more of the roads not being big enough for them.

Depends if they're remastering from the broadcast episodes or from the original footage, I guess. Same thing happened with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as I recall - shot in widescreen, but broadcast in 4:3. I have an Aussie DVD set with the crew visible at times because they used widescreen footage.

Until and unless the Trump admin starts building industrialised murder farms, it isn't even close to the most evil regime the world has ever seen. Hyperbole as the standard for communication is part of the problem OP is describing
