Same with human rights... all or nothing... just an ever finer set of them and us distinctions which set out which humans deserve rights (us) and those who for reasons x,y, and z shouldn't have them. Yet as soon as 'their' rights are weakened... so are 'ours'.

Sounds as if nothing happened... which is hopefully a good thing. Maybe he was suppressing a cough. It happens...

I hope so. Not an easy listen.

Yup my thoughts exactly. Sincerely hope he is ok.

One of the lesser known Simon and Garfunkel b-sides.

It can only get better. Right?

It is quite interesting to see how Farage operates when scrutiny gets a bit challenging. Turns out he isn't the consummate political operator he's been touted as. He is brittle and thin-skinned when not controlling the agenda. That whole Bernard Manning incident was like a mini breakdown.

When he isn't controlling the agenda, Farage doesn't have the superslick political instincts we'd all been led to believe he had. Bodes well for actual media scrutiny come election year....

A Haipu (wish I could claim that as my own but I can't)

There is a reason these movements are a complete anathema to "red wall" voters, but beloved of those indulging in moral hegemony politicking. Patronising is the word.

Reform is a party that says things that appeal to racists, fields racist candidates, fawns over racist world leaders, made a convicted racist guest of honour at their conference, and whose leader refuses to outright deny having racially abused people.

If only there were a word for such a party.

They're more interested in whataboutery... deflect and distract.

Bitter disappointment ensues. The key is to find the sweet spot between standing close enough to grab the seat if it becomes vacant and not being overbearing. They'll move eventually.

If the teenage me in 1985 imagined that he could carry a calculator around that received spam calls it would have melted his mind. He would have wanted one. Tbh I was impressed by that early iPhone app that looked like you were drinking a pint of beer OUT OF YOUR PHONE!!!

Yup loved it. The first aid sketch was pitch perfect (having recently done my outdoor first aid cert).

Meanwhile, if anyone thinks there are are many Reform voters who think "I have zero trust in Labour on immigration, the small boats are still arriving, but *this* latest gesture at hardline policy is the one that will make me look again" I have a bridge to sell you. So who is this policy for?
