Another go at some fungi ID (in alt text) spotted in a large cluster in the woodland....
Hypholoma fasciculare, commonly known as the Sulphur Tuft or Clustered Woodlover, is a common woodland mushroom, we read. This saprotrophic small gill fungus grows prolifically in large clumps on stumps and this particular tree stump in the woods was cover in lots of the sulphur-yellow capped fungi. It was growing among the green mosses and old, brown stump near the woodland floor. 📢 🚨New Report - How the UK oil and gas industry spent 15 years pushing for subsidies & incentives for Carbon Capture and Storage rather than regulatory accountability or science-based emissions reductions; maintaining a funding pipeline for a technology yet to deliver on its promises 👇
The UK Oil and Gas Industry's Advocacy on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
New analysis from InfluenceMap suggests that for more than 15 years, the oil and gas industry has systematically pushed the UK government to adopt a costly, emissions-intensive energy policy agenda de...

One of three Dock Bug (Coreus marginatus) in our wildflower meadow at lunchtime....
We noticed three Dock Bug (Coreus marginatus) in our wildflower meadow at lunchtime. These two-tone brown, broad, speckled true bugs are herbivorous. In the image, this particular insect is sat basking on a mottled green leaf, after a drizzly morning.

With just 5 years remaining to protect 30% of our land for nature, we urgently need to boost nature in our National Parks and National Landscapes.

Any weakening of laws protecting these vital areas for nature recovery would be a serious backwards step.

EU Parliament pushes for ‘veggie burger’ ban
Unbelievable we are in a climate crisis where meat production is a huge driver of carbon emissions and deforestation
And instead of promoting meat alternatives - they are trying to ban them

It would take the average UK earner 52 years’ worth of earnings to join the richest 10%.

Up from 38 years in 2006-08. Rich buy political influence.

Govts help the rich. Bottom 20% pay higher proportion of income in than the richest 20%.

Inequalities obstruct economic growth, fuel social unrest.
Lifetime of earnings not enough for UK workers to join wealthiest 10%, report says
Research finds it would take average worker saving all their earnings for 52 years to match wealth of richest 10th of society
