I liked that episode in terms of really getting to know and getting invested in Gemma, but what was the point of hearing the audience invested in Gemma so they could screw here over!? Are they actively trying to make us hate the main characters!?

Finished season 2 of Severance. That was… unsatisfying. Great concepts and acting, but the pacing was way slow, we didn’t get answers to any of the deeper underlying questions, and it ended on a cliffhanger. A confusing cliffhanger, in terms of intended character action.

I hate cliffhanger endings.

In Unintended Designs there’s been a recent mass suicide / massacre in a small, isolated colony. It’s a hard universe there, though, and enough bad things happen that this isn’t galaxy changing. It’s related to the plot in mysterious ways.
