I know PTA is as California as they come, but it doesn’t feel like a coincidence that a movie about a sanctuary city would include a character named “Howard Somerville.”

The crucial difference is that Romero felt the zombie apocalypse would be a bad thing!

I’ve found myself revisiting DAY more and more in recent years, and OOF.

I agree with this, with the caveat that Romero’s films— which assert that, even in the face of armageddon, reactionary capitalism will find a way to cling to wormy power— have only become more essential.

Like I know that Cee-Lo’s not a good dude, but that didn’t stop them from including Kanye or Grimes 🤷‍♂️

I try not to go to hard on “You forgot about…” now that I’m in the business of making lists myself, but the absence of “Crazy” is… genuinely kind of shocking??

I know we’re all sick of SNL stuntcasting, but imagine what a 77-year-old Phil Hartman could have done with RFK Jr. :(

Still hoping Rob Zombie gets to make his Groucho-Alice buddy picture.

HALLOWEEN has had three pretty good immediate follow-ups to the original story, and pretty much none past that in any timeline.

Found a bag at the MB in Chelsea! A true goldmine of unusual chips— the only place I can find Utz Crab Chips these days.

Ha— I’ve already housed a bag!

One of the most quietly insidious moves the tech industry has made is tying the act of checking the time, a basic human need we do countless times a day, to your phone. How many times have you checked the time, ended up scrolling for 10 minutes, and then realized you still don’t know the time!
