i also think there are a lot of us who come to being trans later in life and it's harder to justify outside the single frame of "ive known since i was little." i knew something was off, and i was miserable, for a very long time before i had the words for it. it's not simple. but still real.

Also doesn't help that the character is played by a cis man.

I had exactly this same thought when watching. It CAN be construed as "they're facing more pressure because queer!" But that's not shown on-screen whatsoever? It also doesn't help that every other demographic represented has fully fleshed out characters but the only queer character is a rat.

My fave is the Locked Tomb series!! Extremely queer all the way through and also full of engaging intrigue and sick body horror.
