I started working out the rough numbers and % of fully electric cars on U.K. 🇬🇧 roads back in January 2022.

There were then only 349,985 (1.18%), but that is rising steadily, and after just over 3 years has more than trebled (x3.7 more!) to now 1,448,531 (4.07%). EVs now make up over 1 in25 cars⚡️🙌👍

In 2024 - U.K. 🇬🇧 is 3rd in terms of battery storage 3.6GW (pop. 68 million, or 0.05GW / mi people), 6.5% of total.
China is at 27.GW (pop1400 million,0.019GW / mi people). China tripled 2022-2023, now 48% world.
Storage is vital as it allows us to keep solar / wind generated energy for use later.

Worth pointing out, U.K. EV buses and coaches are now rapidly spreading. They are everywhere where I live. They work just fine and without the noise and air pollution stench of the old red buses!

Should we stay with Twitter? I have some sympathy with my EV friend EVNicks point about staying on Twitter to “be the a balance”. But when does Twitter just become “too much”? Here is Nicks take on the issue and my reply.

What do others think 🤔
