I never saw that meme! (Anything Rick & Morty i generally ignore — a few great episodes but I was often bored... and then when we learned the creator was taking credit for other people's work, I was fully out, even after he was replaced.)

Aww. That's unfair. I think a lot of it is very Inside Hollywood. And the rest really embraces a tone that really is just pure Absurdist comedy, and that does require a very specific palate.

Did the movie resolve the plot of everyone hating him and thinking he wanted to take over?

The only thing I could think of is that the resolution is IMPLIED by Lois & Jimmy's article revealing Luthor's plans. Was there anything else?

DC and Marvel are reprinting the Superman/Spider-Man x-overs & publishing 2 BRAND NEW x-overs to celebrate the original's 50th anniversary.

Interesting, b/c it's TDKR's 40th anniversary & 60th of Batman '66, & if I knew a GENIUS WRITER (me) w/an idea marrying the 2 together (yup), I'd hire him NOW!

Heh. That's great. You might want to watch this trailer -- what they were making fun of were his characters in Casablanca, Mad Love, and other movies. He absolutely earned it... And, it occurs to me, he had a contract w/WB; it probably contributed to why those guys used him in their shorts.
