Also, between academic reading/writing and trying to figure out from my 14-year-old how to speak "middle school" language - I'm pretty much on the outside, looking in these days. Haha. :)

There have been a couple of times when I have read academic journal articles, and have wondered if maybe I'm not as smart as I thought I was - or supposed to be. Haha. :)

I've been a film professor for 20 years. I teach production, storytelling, etc. I'm not considered a "traditional" academic by some, for obvious reasons. That's okay, but if I was one of them - I am not sure I could write or publish things w the vocab required. I can't make heads or tails of it.

I used to think maybe if I could convince somebody to cut off the top of my skull, turn me upside down and let all the junk drain out - that would help. But my first cousin, who is a brain surgeon, disappointed me and said to not do that. :)

My son poured me a glass of eggnog, dumped some chocolate syrup in it, topped it with whipped cream and cinnamon. It was quite tasty. 😊
