The shutdown is a shakedown. It's a lose lose situation for everyone who is not part congress because everyday workers won't get paid until resolved and only some of the affected workers get backpay. Either way the bills are still due for the workers.

We wouldn't be in this position of their paychecks were on the line. Congress knew their was no approved budget long before this week.

Southwest is abandoning their core base with this decison. Sometimes they are the most expensive flight and I don't see why anyone would choose them if you have to add bag fees to an already high price.
