If US debt becomes too expensive to service it won't just be a depression.
We'll lose our place as the world's reserve currency, which is a huge part of what's maintained our standard of living for the better part of a century.

And thus, the economy tanks and we'll face at least another recession or at worst a depression.

Methinks they have no understanding of how crucial the Fed is to maintaining the advantage being the world’s reserve currency is. They have no idea of the chaos and instability that will occur if that stops being true.

I have an original Mac as well. My dad bought it, and it was upgraded twice, first to a “Fat Mac” (512k of RAM), then to a Mac Plus. That computer changed my life.
