Same as Putin did in Russia, Orban in Hungary. After taking control of the media, NGOs are targeted with the exact same argumentation. Another page of the autocrat playbook just opened in the US. The speed of rebuilding the government into a support system for the autocrat is mindboggling.

You obviously don’t understand soft power & how it’s worked to our country’s advantage for decades. The more we pull back from soft power, the more China steps up to fill the void. Isolationist policies only serve authoritarians, not the people.
