I'll never forget the feeling of listening to the first #Slipknot album for the first time. Breathtaking! 🤘 I still pinch myself that I got to interview them for the radio show many, many years ago.

Being in a festival field with your mates watching bands you love is a feeling to be cherished. Some bands I saw at Slam Dunk Festival were Imminence, Stray From The Path, LANDMVRKS, Finch, The Used, ADTR and... I met Cookie Monster! 😂 Thanks to Alex at Gala PR for the invite! 🤘 #SlamDunkFestival

Global just launched Radio X Oasis to celebrate all things Oasis in the build up to, and during, the band's huge gigs this Summer. They treated the Radio X DJs to some special merchandise too! 🤘 Hear the hits, B-sides, archive interviews, fan-curated content and presenter top 10s, on Global Player.

After work this morning, on the 80th anniversary of VE Day, I walked to The Cenotaph. I've driven past every day this week and thought how striking the memorial looked draped in Union flags to mark eight decades since the end of the Second World War in Europe. #VE80

One year ago I woke up and decided I’d quit smoking. I gave the tobacco, papers, filters and lighters away. I still miss it, I think I always will, because I enjoyed it, but I’m pleased I quit, and today I pat myself on the back for doing so! 🚭

25 years ago today I presented my first radio show! I was only 14. I've just celebrated 16 years at Global and signed another contract to stay on air a bit longer! I'm lucky to still be doing something I love. Thank you if you've listened to any of my shows in the last 25 years.
