Been awhile since I've posted a platinum update. 150 is a big milestone, and I'm happy it ended up being such a special one. Expedition 33 is one of the most beautiful games that I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Been awhile since I've posted a platinum update. 150 is a big milestone, and I'm happy it ended up being such a special one. Expedition 33 is one of the most beautiful games that I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Yesterday, I read the latest Hunger Games novel: Sunrise on the Reaping.
It has strong character development, explores subjects like propaganda and grief with a thoughtful approach, and it's very well paced. I'd recommend reading the original trilogy first, but it's a worthy entry and a great read.

Two books into Mistborn Era 1, and this is shaping up to be the most enjoyable series I've read in years.
I loved the character development in Well of Ascension, and the ending has so much tension and mystery that I honestly can't wait to read the finale.

Finished my first read of 2025 and my first Brandon Sanderson novel: Mistborn.
This book lived up to the hype and made me excited to read the Cosmere. It's been awhile since I've felt so immersed in a fantasy series like this.. the magic system, world, and characters all rock.

I saw my first Del Toro film last night: The Shape of Water.
It's beautiful. Stories focused on water resonate with me, and I appreciated its representations of otherness as well as its incredible score. Also, it was cool to learn that the movie was filmed right here in Canada!

First platinum of 2025! Definitely my favorite RPG from 2024, but man.. the trophies left a lot to be desired. I could live with the missable trophies if you didn't also have to complete an entire NG+ run just to beat the superboss.

After finishing Metaphor: ReFantazio, I think Louis Guiabern is one of the GOATs of JRPG antagonists.
He has aura. His voice actor rocks. He's stylish as hell. He's always up front about his ambitions while being the perfect foil to the hero.
We need more villains like Louis.

Happy that this game received some major upgrades on the PS5 Pro! The new visuals and framerate boost made it enjoyable to revisit HZD. Just hope we get Horizon 3 before the end of this generation.

Having never played Silent Hill before, this is easily among the very best horror games I've played. SH2R helped solidify the horror genre as one of my favorites.
