If I think long and hard enough about this I will probably get a really helpful insight into some of the learning I’m doing on team coaching at the moment. And possibly about myself…

Adding a third celestial body to a gravitational system makes things wildly chaotic and unpredictable. Hence the 'Three Body Problem'. Some beautiful examples of periodic 3-body systems:

Listening, really listening, means being prepared to see and hear things based on other's experiences, from other perspectives, that may challenge our preconceptions, maybe even disturb our sense of identity. That's what can make it feel so uncomfortable. And so very important.

This piece caught my eye - and my heart - as my work often takes me into the terrain of ‘purpose’. An exploration of ‘purpose anxiety’: “fixated on the future and what our impact should be, at the cost of being present in this very moment.”

Ireland has lost one of its greatest voices in the passing of the poet Michael Longley.

This beautiful handwritten copy of his poem, Ceasefire, hung on the walls of Mediation NI when I was a board member, offering a powerful focus for the work of peace building and reconciliation.

I love discovering the ways words are used in different languages. Next time I settle myself to “attention” in a #coaching session, I’ll have a wider pool of verb-lenses to draw on, delightfully!
In Spanish, attention is something you "lend", because you kind of want it back. In French you "make" it, because it's not there if you don't. In English you "pay" it, because it's valuable. And in German you "gift" it, because it's really a present. I wish I knew all languages!

Love the process Bilbao Guggenheim Museum Architect Frank Gehry follows from an idea to a finished building😊
