Oh, they were definitely taken seriously - there were a number of talks at Berlin in the last two years on this, to publicly discuss possible renamings in the universities there as well.

The two scholars in question have promised a larger publication for this year with the Leibniz Center for Literary and Cultural Research.

So, if I am reading this right - the accusations are without merit. Completely. 😱
