The lonely world isn't a place.
It's a term I came up with, to do with gaming.
A videogame enters a "lonely world" state when interacting with its world no longer feels fruitful. You can chase endgame content, but no new quests will trigger. No new maps or items. No NPC dialogue you haven't seen.
