Yes. We're spending £476m on the militarisation of Calais - where babies are being tear gassed.

The fact people are hearing this for the first time is exactly why I made it the subject of the Christmas Day message.

We could be spending that money instead on a fair and managed migration system.
The UK government is spending £476m tear-gassing babies?

Someone needs to get real if they're to be taken seriously.
The Telegraph highlighting - yet missing - two vital points here.

1) We're not calling for £476m to be spent. It already is - this is about diverting it to actually helping.

2) Why "cruelty" in question? The £476m we're spending is part of an operation tear gassing babies.

South Water Yorkshire are putting our bills up by 40% in 3 years. We have already paid for all the repairs that they should have done, but instead that money goes to shareholders debt, people pay and fighting battles to continue to pollute.

End privatisation now.

Customers already paid, companies didn't build reservoirs, dumped sewage in rivers, neglected investment, paid dividends

Now want to charge customers again, not raising capital from shareholders.

UK budget freeze on income tax thresholds

Over the next 5 yrs, 780,000 more people, the poorest, will pay income tax for the first time.

Someone earning £50,000 will pay £9,512 in tax, an increase of £1,247 because thresholds are frozen.

Can't grow economy by hitting low/middle income earners.

Why is this not part of the discussion on Rachel Reeves balancing her books & stalled growth?

For every 100,000 drop in net immigration, the OBR adds £7bn to the deficit. #r4today

Minor tweaks on dividend and mansion tax.
No wealth tax.

No financial transactions tax.

Apparently we all have to do our fair share. Ie. Tax the poor more by freezing income threshold, not taxing the rich by not adding a wealth tax. Once again Labour punish the poor.
