I think they just didn't want to crowd the release year of the console with updated games and just wanted to focus on SW2 games selling first. Wouldn't be surprised if next year there's a lot more updates and X gets one with the rest of the Xenoblade games.

I think what doesn't help either is that once that "Oh there's a option in the dev files to make it run better" rumor came out along with the Switch 2 rumors coming this year, it made some people put it on hold until there is a SW2 update.

It's not going to really take off until the next gen console(s) comes out and if we're looking at Xbox's "Console+PC" hybrid and the MSRP of the PS5Pro then those consoles are going to be $800+The subscription fee of online access. That's when the SM is really going to shine and compete.

Was having a conversation about it last night about how right now it's mostly just gonna be picked up by people that are already tapped into the pc gaming space and were either looking to upgrade their out of date rig or use it for their living room+easy traveling.

Yeah that's why I'm not TOO judgey about it. Just wish they had like a different background or threw in like a hookshot on link's belt or a hylian shield next to him. Just SOMETHING that doesn't make this feel like high quality cosplay concept pictures.

Obviously this isn't a hard judgement I'm making for the entire film. This is most likely a photo shoot that's completely separate from the film and is just used for marketing the pretty people that'll you spend 2 hours gazing at.
I just think it's bad to let this be the FIRST look of whats to come

Not saying any of these are bad when put together but when I think of Zelda it kinda not falling into the same D&D/Lord of the Rings fantasy trappings is like half of the appeal and this first look makes it feels like it's gonna be so mainstreamed and lose the appeal of what makes Zelda different
