More SoIaF calender art! This time ALL the horses. I really enjoy painting horses but this one was a challenge with so many. Oberyn arriving with his cohort. I managed to sneak the Hogg family banner in there as it's legit a family he travelled with :D

Another calendar piece! One of those pieces that when I did the digital sketch, I forgot I couldn't copy & paste in oils. Dany in one of her most iconic moments, taking control of the Unsullied.

I've never shared all of the images from the official SoIaF calendar I did for 2020, choosing scenes that inspired me from across the series. These are all 2ft square oil paintings, and remain some of the most intense, accomplished work of my career. Up first is Ned and Cat under the heart tree.

Why is it I can crop this picture of my cat and his body is equidistant from the edges of the rectangular image border. This is not how to cat, sir. Your head should not be in the centre of your body, dangit.

I've been meaning to paint a personal piece featuring a horse for a while now! What is artistic terror for some is one of my favourite subject matters. Blend in sunflowers and fairytale dresses and I'm very happy :)

Having a bit of sketch fun, seeing how far I can take a piece in 3-4 hours on an evening. An older story of mine I've been rebooting here and there into a 70s style action flick. Man, if I had the time and patience to do a graphic novel, this would be the story for it. #art

Over the past couple of weeks, I've made it a mission to learn the basics of blender, using stylised diorama tutorials. Started with the pink and green room and moved to blue and yellow. Then to prove I'd taken it all in, an art studio of my own, figuring out new stuff as I went!

Lots in this post I can relate to, though my circumstances are very different. I too did my own version of what my own body felt like to me once the circus had moved on, where you settled on creepy clowns, I settled on peeved looking demons. Glad you found a way to express yourself.
