Loves lots of different geeky things (Minis, rpgs, toys, movies, etc) videos and unashamedly churning out various miniatures projects despite limited ability and no patience for painting. Trying to figure things out before I abandon Twitter.
Hmm, a post-apocalyptic ttrpg campaign where the X-Men lost Inferno done in a similar vein to the Age of Apocalypse. Earth overrun by demons, warped by demonic magic and eldritch mutation on the rise. Many Marvel heroes and villains getting a demonic themed AoA style makeover.

Thoughts/Ideas?

Finally got around to watching Love and Monsters. Not exactly Oscars material, but a pretty enjoyable post-apocalyptic romp. I think the setting would make for a pretty cool Tiny Wastelands ttrpg campaign.

Putting together a sandbox Tiny Fallout campaign using the Tiny Wastelands ttrpg and a hack of @perplexingruins.bsky.social rpg adventure sheet. Setting is a fictional area called “Noose Valley” in the northern Texas/New Mexico region. Inspiration from Fallout New Vegas and other sources. See pics.

Also more Tiny Supers ttrpg miniatures created from Heroclix repaints. “Kid Kix” neglected child prodigy of Super Scientist “Dr. Flat-Tastic” and “Throw Back” gang enforcer with the power to physically devolve himdelf into sn ape-like brute.

Heroclix repaint for Tiny Supers ttrpg. This time Section 8 a volunteer drummed out of a US Army Enhanced Soldier program due to anomalies discovered during psyche evaluations. Wanting to prove the government wrong he has adopted a heroic persona based upon some obscure comic book character.

A couple more Heroclix repaints for use as Tiny Supers ttrpg miniatures. 1st is the shadow based Villain “Jump Scare”. I don’t know the original character so just redid black to look less plastic. 2nd is “Dead Reckoning” armed with a crudely crafted Milliput noose.

Arthritis in the hands and a general dislike of painting is a terrible combo in getting colour onto my miniatures, but despite this I occasionally give it a go. So today I actually got around to my first Heroclix repaint for the Tiny Supers ttrpg, my armoured hero “Groundpounder”.

Box of Heroclix from Big Orbit Cards today. One step closer to repaints and some minis for Tiny Supers ttrpg.

Credit where credit is due. I just wish big publisher games and their content creators didn’t smother tttpg media so much so more people can discover and enjoy games like yours.

(More awesome Tiny Supers art for the uninitiated)

My new ttrpg obsession is @alanbahr.net ‘s Tiny d6 series of roleplaying games. Despite being rules-lite, it’s comprehensive and character creation is satisfyingly flexible too. Currently reading Tiny Supers and the Gallantverse suppliment. Gallantverse is actually a great comic book universe.

4 Franchises that I feel need their own ttrpg, miniatures game, dedicated sourcebook, etc. Who knows maybe one day someone will pick up their license.

1. Fable.

2. Thundercats.

3. Xcom series.

4. Ukysses 31.

What’s on your list?

After starting to play solo ttrpgs I have found myself moving away from crunchy big name rpgs to small indie rules-lite games. So far I have discovered so many gems and it looks like I have found yet another with the Tiny d6 system. Any other fans out there?

I love all kinds of stuff including undead and pirates. Kind’a makes me wish I still had my 15mm Vampire Coast miniatures warband.

@ospreygames.bsky.social just released their new catalogue. bit.ly/3uV6dpa

“When Nightmares Come” is the game i’m waiting for. Fingers crossed it will be as good, if not better, than Patrick’s other games.

Characters that migrate across games? Mine is Big Game, originally a villain toon for the City of Heroes mmo.

Started as a poacher turned assassin, becoming a morally grey merc, before evolving into a Monster Hunter for Hire.

Later used for Pulp Alley, SWADE, and soon Dark Streets Darker Secrets.

I’m currently moving over to 28mm, but I do have a lot of fond memories when it comes to 15mm scale miniature gaming.

I have said it before, but a #MCU based Sci Fi #ttrpg would be awesome. #WhatIfS2 Nebula joined the Nova Corp is a great example of the sort of story roleplayers could put together.

Heroclix can be a great cheap option. They are also good for custom characters as there are so many obscure characters if you repainted them you probably wouldn’t think too much about who the original was. Also if you want them for established characters it doesn’t hurt to give them a repaint too.

Mixed talent miniature painter dabbling in all kinds of stuff looking to build his network here. Some examples of my stuff include some Star Wars Legion Snow Troopers, 6mm Tech Priests used as Tech Zealots for Five Parsecs, some Core Space minis and from Gi Joe a Destro miniature.

Looking for recommendations for non-GW(big nose, mouth, ears) styled Goblin miniatures for my Warlock rpg campaign. Ideally I’d like to avoid blatantly evil looking, the wretched Goblin Town type or anything overly primitive. Male and female would also be nice.

Pics for attention.

I’ve used them for everything from Victorian SF Lost World, modern monster hunters and the aforementioned 50s B-Movie alien invasion. I like Pulp Alley as it has an almost cinematic feel and with a little imagination you can build a Warband for almost any setting and genre.

Sometimes you see a bit of junk and think to yourself “wow, I can do something with that”. That’s kind of how my Flying Saucer build happened, when I stumbled across an old downlight shroud.

More microscale miniatures skirmish terrain boards. At 6-10mm I generally swap inches for cm so a 36x36cm board is roughly equal to a 3x3’ play area at 28mm.

In this lot the swamp board was being used for 10mm scaled Silver Bayonet, but as you can see still looks to be a decent sized play area.

I guess it really is a sign of getting old when the rpgs you grew up with have had multiple improved(?) editions, but you still prefer what you think of as the original. #ttrpgs, #starwars, #space1889, #faserip, #marvelsuperheroes, #wfrp.
