Happy #PostboxSaturday, everyone! This is the postbox that started the hashtag, found on Peveril Downs, the place where the idea for The Handwritten Letter Appreciation Society was born. #Swanage ☺️📮☁️🎉

Happy #PostboxSaturday from this George VI pillar box on the Mile End Road in Bow. It has a security panel on the righthand side to prevent it from being prised open with a crowbar, despite being steps away from The Thames Magistrates’ Court! 💌 ⚖️ @letterappsoc.bsky.social

“I’ve got letters and postcards a-plenty
I’ve got paper and notelets galore
You want cool postboxes? I’ve got twenty!
But who cares? No big deal, I want more!” OK, Little Mermaid, here’s a nice one in Puerto del Carmen too… Happy #PostboxSaturday, everyone! 😄📮🧜‍♀️🏝️❤️

In Dublin’s fair city,
Where the postboxes are pretty,
Eldest first set her eyes on sweet green ones galore,
As An Post wheeled their barrow,
Through the streets, broad and narrow,
Crying “Letters and postcards, alive, alive, oh!” Happy #PostboxSaturday, folks! 🤩📮🇮🇪💚

Happy #PostboxSaturday, everyone! A celebration of the interconnectedness of humans via these magical postal portals and a reminder that no man is an island. (Unless you live on St Michael’s Mount where the postbox is out of action and the nearest town has no Post Office!) 🥹📮❤️

Happy #PostboxSaturday from these metal posting boxes set into Oban’s Post Office building, which was built in 1909 but features Scottish 17th century detailing. However, the best feature is their favourable collection times. 💌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 @letterappsoc.bsky.social

No-one is expecting to pay peanuts but £1.70 for a 1st class stamp is sadly pricing lots of people out of sending letters. #RoyalMail 🥜💌

Happy #PostboxSaturday, postbox friends! Had the loveliest few days away in beautiful Cornwall with postboxes galore! Thought I’d start here with some postal paradise at the Eden Project including a little expedition for the @postalpathsguy.bsky.social’s wonderful exploratory book… ☺️📮📗🌴🌿

I send handwritten letters to friends at Christmas rather than printed round robins.

A round robin says "I am important enough to send a round robin".

A handwritten letter says "you are important enough to deserve a handwritten letter".

Whether my handwriting is legible is another matter.😀

Happy #PostboxSaturday from this wall box that’s had its status enhanced courtesy of a tin of red paint. It lives in Ardlui, a hamlet located at the head of Loch Lomond, so features the Scottish Crown - like every Scottish post box since 1954. 💌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Posting a goat always presents a challenge but this was Mission Impossible, because the Edward VII wall box with bullnose brick surround at Cambridge Station has been decommissioned - along with the stamp dispenser. 💌🐐
