Once upon a time, I created an alien race who resembled imposing marsupial bipedal saurians. They had a meritocratic culture based on knowledge and facts (the more you knew, the higher your status), but because of their different atmosphere they also sounded like they were on helium...1/2

Also, needs saying again that @mrjalco.bsky.social's work on the covers for Fermi's Wake has been unbelievably beautiful. Not only has he created some awe inspiring exploding planets, he's also redrawn the Fermi from scratch making her look even more foreboding-yet-shonky than before.
