If you brush it daily, you will be ahead of like half of all beard-havers in terms of feel and shape. Rest is up to preference.

I think they just keep the "PC relevant" rules too separate from the "overall game mechanic" rules. Should be better introduced to players during PC creation.

I also feel people just dont like learning new systems after spending a lot of time in a familiar one, more than thinking it's "harder"
