My favorite day last year was spent listening to MBMBAM naming of 2025 with her (both times) before we knew she would be gone. This year, I plan to listen while taking him on a long walk. May we all find moments of comfort this year despite the looming darkness.

Occasionally my grandma forgets how to look things up, and so unto her I am become google.
A text exchange between me and my grandma. Grandma asks: “What is a cornucopia?” I reply with an image of a cornucopia illustration. (It has pumpkins and vegetables spilling out of a cornucopia horn) Grandma asks, “Yup. But what is it?” I reply, “A horn from Greek mythology representing a bountiful harvest” Grandma asks, “I know, but is it like a plant?” I reply, “It’s a decorative basket” to which she replies, “cool”.

Twist, you will always have been the sweetest, most rambunctious dog I ever met. You greeted everyone you met with an excited pounce into our arms and hearts, and now we say goodbye. I am so grateful for all the time we shared. Proud to watch you fight for these last months.

Finally had time to run and grab my copy of Everything is Tuberculosis (Berry signature). And found two I’ve been meaning to read on sale.
Three books side by side. Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary, John Green’s Everything is Tuberculosis, and Scott Lynch’s The Lies of Locke Lamora.
