They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.

This is going to sound conspiratorial, but the more things happen, the more it looks the US wants southern Africa. He & Melon (with the help of some local racists) are trying to destabilise South Africa, playing on racial tensions. SA got a 30% import tariff. Lesotho got 50%. They want this region

You know your nervous system is fucked when Fromville doesn't seem like such a bad place to live. A nice country setting, a sense of community, no bills, flesh ripping monsters that actually justify your fight/flight response - heavenly.

Controversial opinion, but I don't think BlueSky should have deleted Laura Loomer's account straight away. They should have let her believe she'd flown under their radar and then deleted her the second she posted something, regardless of what she posted
