I have personally watched a herd of wildebeest fleeing from a lion all suddenly decide "you know what? fuck this shit" and turn to confront it. The lion backed off REAL quick.

As a paleontology enthusiast I always find it funny how pop culture constantly describes large herbivorous dinosaurs as "gentle giants" when most of our current living herbivorous megafauna are some of the most physically dangerous and temperamental creatures on the planet.

Enough people had sympathy that it led to a formal change in tactics and training for the Guard when they’re deployed. Which is one of the reasons why Kent State remains a singular historic event.

They’re not; they’re hamstrung by two things: a media ecosystem that has been infiltrated & subsumed by conservatives to use as a weapon against them, and a voting public that has — sometimes willingly — allowed itself to be Pavlovian-conditioned into responding negatively to the word “Democrats.”

It doesn't make any sense to conceive of due process as a right that individual people can have or not have at all tbh. Bad framing from the start. Due process is a restriction on the government's actions, and by definition it applies to either everyone or no one.
