This makes it possible for these groups to exist. Since the permissions are set on the platform level, NSFW groups can't mess it up if they tried.

The solution? Acknowledge NSFW content is on this platform! Half the work has already been done by adding age verification. By making sure NSFW content consent is handled by VRC and not each individual group / session, VRC can allow these groups to exist and know they comply with the rules.

From VRC's POV: a NSFW content report comes from a world packed with NSFW content. VRC will absolutely not rely on the group's consent menus or vetting. This group did everything right, but there are many who don't, and VRC will take no chances when the fault falls on them.

Every precaution to shield people from NSFW content they don't consent to see has been taken. There is nothing better they can do.

The theory is that an individual with an axe to grind had reported the session for NSFW content despite it operating like many NSFW sessions - requiring either VRC age verification or manual ID verification. On top of this, a consent popup needs to be accepted every time you join the session.
