I would recommend you to talk to the rental board ombudsman etc, as there are very set rules on what flies in rentals here, but I'm pretty sure you aren't in Oz, and I don't know the rules in other countries. You have my sympathies, mate. I hope they start on your home soon.

I hope you aren't expected to pay rent while they procrastinate?
December 5, 2025 at 9:41 PM
Huh.

It is only five days into summer here. I figured it wouldn't be snowing so heavily and so soon in America. Amazing.

Geah, no, pantone can get stuffed.

Contractors pulling out because he doesn't pay contractors. Political got nothin to do with it.

I too was going to say this. IKEA is the solution.

One trip to Sydney, and I have all the adjustable bookcases I need to fit any type of physical media in any space in the house. And it packs down small in the back of the car. And I can visit the good bookshop while I am in town! Wins all the way.

Good on them for setting the record correctly and inclusively for all girls.
December 4, 2025 at 10:19 AM
Yep. Premade food and fruit out of season is so heavily overpriced. That flour and sugar would have cost the shop a few cents to make a dozen muffins, and fractions of a cent to cook them.
December 4, 2025 at 5:43 AM
Not looking for a video, I don't watch them. Thankyou for explaining, that is real sodding weird.
December 4, 2025 at 3:34 AM
Huh.

What did they do? I don't doubt you're right, just have no information on whatever this story is.

It may have taken a while to load, the thread was long. The person pinging you did so on the first post of the thread. Sort of like they sent you down the wrong leg of a pair of trousers; You had to leave that leg. You do this by tapping the text of the post above theirs, when it loads.

What in heavens name do they think is in your underwear and knee braces?

Click on the ping, once you reach the ping, scroll to the top, and then click on that, it is the start of a thread (this information for future pings)

And the times I have been to snow and to cold climates, I have only found it miserable. We are both well suited to our chosen environments!

I do genuinely hope Adam gets his most just desserts. But not flayed. Just remove one of his limbs, and move on...

What an interesting way of putting it!

There are other ships, also in the same process. We Aussies have viewpoints on our own ship, for example.

I fear we never really watched the cricket much. Youngest brother was into tennis for a bit though. The Sydney to Hobart was the big thing for us. I have married into another Syd2Hob family, coincidentally. Taswegians. They were watching from the finish line, after we saw the yachts off from Sydney.

No, not derogatory. Being different and exchanging cultural differences in a friendly manner is what I'm here for, it's interesting!

Have consulted a brother on what we watched for Christmas growing up. We remember mostly radio, but TV included surfing movies, and the Sydney-to-Hobart.
December 2, 2025 at 9:31 PM
🤣
December 2, 2025 at 9:19 PM
I suspect the divide is cultural, friend. Christmas for me is a midsummer event, after all.

The Charlie Brown movie & the Peanuts comics that spawned it belong to my parents generation at best. I was an 80s kid. In fact, these are all movies about commercial USian cultural memes...

I'm sorry.

Eh, all depends on the decisions of the person who cooked it. They could have put the fruit end first.
December 2, 2025 at 7:01 PM
I'm just explaining how one might know which end to eat in the dark. You can make your own choices when eating from a plate in a fancy front room somewhere.

It wasn't fancy flaky butter-layered puff pastry back then either, the pie crust wasn't crumbling deliciousness, it was good old stodge.
