Between Sept 2017 and Jan 2025, at least 4028 Chicago children were injured by a car while walking or biking. On average, that's 1.5 injury crashes every single day.
29% of those crashes happened between 7-9 am or 3-5 pm on a school day. Kids should be able to walk to school without fear.
