My heart grows two sizes when a fan posts about trying Lower Decks or Prodigy recently and loving it. Then it breaks a little when they ask why there aren’t more eps.

If someone can relate to going off to school and trying to figure out who they want to be and what they want to stand for, and come to Starfleet Academy for that, but in the process learn about Klingons, Sisko, and no-win scenarios, I’ll take that too.

One of the things that brings me joy is the amount of people I hear finding Trek through Lower Decks.
To me, that show at its heart is about twenty somethings trying figure themselves & their futures out through an animated comedy lens. If you can relate & find Trek through that, I’ll take it!

I think we’re trying to make shows that espouse the values of Star Trek and that may appeal to an audience that doesn’t realize they’d love Original Recipe Trek if they gave it a shot.
