Been there, done that. Thus far, the only decent Norwegian cheese I've been able to find is from Valdresmeieriet.

I've resorted to buying Dutch cheese online, to avoid having to eat Tine products devoid of all taste. It actually works: ostonline.no/collections/... (no cheddar, sadly).
