Good to read an informed scientific opinion on this topic. I couldn't agree more. Safety considerations for additives regardless whether synthetic or natural should be only based on scientific data and not on ideology or personal beliefs.

I couldn’t care less whether companies use synthetic or naturally-derived dyes — I have zero skin in the game.

The issue? The war on “synthetic food dyes” isn’t about food dyes:

It’s about letting uninformed opinions & misinformation undermine science, data, & public health.
