Jimmy had pretty much nothing to do with the first movie, and I think showing his origin and his first meeting with Spike would have made more sense in Bone Temple. It also would have made the first movie more focused.

Paul Dano is what Tarantino could have been if he just chilled out and stopped fronting. He COULD have had that, he COULD been someone women trust to hold their drinks, but he chose to be an asshole instead. Dano, with every breath his takes, demonstrates why that was the wrong choice.
