Wrong Beecham of course. The one was the grandfather of the other, and the slogan / rewrite was by the one in the middle.

Appropriate for (almost) the season...

Hark the herald angels sing
Beecham's pills are just the thing...

Sorry, irrelevant mental meandering.

You win. I have spent 12 hours dealing with replication issues.

That "as long as your data is clean and consistent" is one helluva disclaimer... ;-)

I had a 3c, and thought I was living in the future when, in 1997, I could do my expenses (which was an imported excel spreadsheet) on the psion, and print it out by pointing the IR output thingie at the IR input thingie on the printer in the office.

The first one died in a gravity/concrete incident.
The second one self-immolated.

I didn't go back for the third round.

I had the first one. It was mostly ok, but running in android rather than something like the Psion OS. They added in a couple of apps to provide some of that vibe, though.

Second one was clunkier - the links between internal and external screen/computer was not good at times.

By "more recent device like this", do you mean the Planet Computers Gemini / Cosmo / I've forgotten the name of the third one?

I remember one place where they much celebrated the arrival of SSO, and proudly installed a toolbar of all the SSO-supported applications.

We had to log into each one individually. "How is this SSO?" we asked.

"You use the same credentials for everything."

Yeah... that's not what SSO means.

The house opposite has recently done some "landscaping", which includes some sort of strange pod/rock-type things. Unfortunately, they are illuminated - as is the front wall of their house - on some colour-cycling thing. And, quite often, it's in Premier Inn Pink, which makes me snigger.

Yup. Hiding behind a pillar, probably...

It was Dvorak 8 (or 4, in the old numbering scheme)...

Good fun, though. That RVW is not straightforward!
