He definitely always tended toward the extremes. I just hate that he’s got Irish immigrant parents and wanted to pull up the ladder on everyone else seeking a better life in Britain. We’ve seen that play out in America so many times.

I hear that. My mother used to listen to him when I was growing up, and I fell in love with his music as a kid. And then I listened to it so much when I was in my 20s. But he’s been a crank for a long time, and Covid brought out the absolute worst in him. I hate when that happens.

We fundamentally disagree on what justice would look like in Palestine. I’m not interested in ethnically cleansing Jewish people from that land. The only way forward is genuine democracy and equal rights for all.
