Instead of pre-stringing the beads, I used beads large enough to pull a loop through.

November 3, 2025 🧵 Third iteration of the crossed cable pattern. I used smaller hooks to get a stiffer motif and crocheted into the chains instead of around them.
Crocheting into chains is a royal pain, but I love the resulting look.
