I believe that anime fansubs of old shows never released in English as well as manga scanlations of titles never licensed/dropped prior to completion in English are Good, Actually. That’s the way I find out those things even exist at all, such that if a legal version does come out, I will pay for it

I don't care if someone is an "indie" developer. If you use AI, you should be forced to live next to one of the data centers and pay the entire state's increased bills while breathing the disgusting clouds of unknown composition, drinking the polluted water.

It doesn't make a difference if you haven't replaced your devs with AI. It doesn't matter if you say it's up to them whether to implement AI's "ideas." GenAI pollutes the air and causes increased energy and water costs.

Yes!! This is why the suggestions that the Library of Congress purchase The Archive is *insane.* I don't trust them (LoC/govt) to allow access to things that aren't convenient for them, and neither should anyone else.
Another reason why @archive.org is so important: preserving the facts about elections and campaigns for later study.
