This clip is really bad. Absolutely hollow. But important to remember also that as this tech becomes "better" and more advanced, simply it being "bad" isn't going to cut it as a rhetorical argument. Slop like this must be opposed because it's fundamentally anti-human, regardless of "quality"

Oh fan-freaking-tastic. Aniplex already has *the* most expensive physical releases on the market and are partially responsible for the price creep and now they're trying to muscle out paying for voice actors? Good luck selling those 200 dollar discs now.

Considering how everything for anime has to be done with the approval of the original Japanese licensor(s) now (this isn't the Wild West of the 90s & earlier), this pretty much means that the Japanese licensor for Banana Fish had to have approved this.

I almost bought this. It was even 20% off. But I didn’t do it, because I already bought a Kamen Rider Black kit as well as Dygenguard & Weissritter. Those are more manageable. This monstrosity by contrast is over 120 sprues. I will not make Gerald turn around so I can buy this (unless you demand it)

After publishing this article, I've heard from many that CR seems to be using AI to produce dub CCs. Now, thanks to a slip-up CR had with episode 6 dub of The Banished Court Magician, we can say that with 100% certainty: Crunchyroll is using the AI service Ollang.com for its dub closed captions!
