Who remembers reading this in school and thinking how grateful you were for living in America, where such things could never happen?

If Democratic voters want a Democratic Party that fights, some are going to have to vote against their current representatives during the primaries.

Don’t expect a leopard to change its spots.

Look at who their funders are and act accordingly.

The Trump regime tries to brand themselves as grounded in Judeo-Christian morality.

What letter grade would you give them for living up to:

“Learn to do good; seek justice; rescue the oppressed; defend the orphan; plead for the widow.” (Isaiah 1:17)

It has always been extremely difficult to be poor in America. Being poor is expensive as hell. Under Trump and his MAGAts, it has only gotten worse, and will continue to do so.
The nationwide effort to criminalize people who are without housing has subsequently and uniquely harmed communities. #ShelteringInjustice

As we observe in real time the rapidly unfolding destruction of norms, checks & balances, institutions & our democracy that we had ample warning about in Project 2025, I thought it would be a good time to review its roots: Lewis Powell’s 1971 Memo:

Thank you! It’s called the cost of citizenship. Citizenship is NOT a spectator sport.
If you want our politics to change, it is IMPERATIVE that you become a different kind of voter:

1) become an OBSESSIVE primary, local & off-cycle voter

2) research every candidate and don’t rely on what commercials tell you about them

3) show up at events where candidates speak & debate

Christmas Eve wish for you:
A quiet moment.
A lifted weight.
The knowing you’re not alone.
May the night return to you a fraction of the warmth, grace, and hope the year took.
Peace tonight.

The first step is to be informed. The next is to do our best to make sure others are informed as well - armed with data, facts, science. Finally, we must be prepared to ACT - to sacrifice as we’ve never sacrificed before, to step outside of our comfort zones. To join others to amplify our voices!

Feeding America is a massive national organization with more than 600 employees that distributes more than 4 BILLION pounds of food to hungry Americans a year. I personally do not begrudge them or her for this salary.

Having said that, I focus my own giving on my local food bank. They need it more
I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.
