the incentives in the system are wrong and lead to and *have led* to these outcomes, and people - not just artists - are suffering. and society blames the victims, saying they are charging too much or not working hard enough or whatever else. it is disappointing, to say the least.

In two hours I have to log in to work and spend 8-hours making what amounts state propaganda, after which I will then go immediately to another 10-hour shift selling hamburgers so I can pay bills and hopefully carve out a day a week to make my own art and design work a reality.
