Our town has this thing called Junk days, where you throw a bunch of trash on your curb & scrappers come through to pick it up. Only announced on the town fb group.
My kids bike was mistaken for junk. There are no comparison tears to your bike getting commandeered.

I like this idea. We celebrate Christmas big time, but I couldn't give a shit about Easter. I'd rather work those days and have a four day Beltane weekend. Probably an administrative nightmare for employers though.
I wish they'd count the holy days in various traditions, pick a # on the generous side, and then just mandate that everyone gets that # of paid "cultural celebration days" to use as needed, vs making Christian holidays the fixed and statutory ones.
