Started my new role with training on digital discourse from @tie.scot and being neuro-affirmative with @glasgoweps.bsky.social. On Thurs children were back — I played in the sand, with playdoh, joined Bookbug, and began getting to know pupils and staff. A joyful start! Looking forward to next week💫

“We’ve had the Me Too movement, which rightly and accurately called out men’s violence against women. We had equal marriage. We had Black Lives Matter. A lot of what we’re seeing now culturally is the last-gasp backlash to that progress.”

“We can see the effect of dangerous and false narratives that children are being 'groomed' at school or encouraged to transition by 'woke' teachers, and it is very rooted in conspiratorial language which ultimately attempts to disrupt trust in educational institutions and uses LGBT people to do it.”
