Just finished this book. It's challenging - a chimera of memoir and academia - and I almost gave up during the introduction. (Read that last, after you've got a handle on the rest.) But what an interesting way to talk about comics! And life.

The story of Nora the kitten was the saddest part for me.

Just finished my deep dive into the novels of Beryl Bainbridge. THE BIRTHDAY BOYS is my favourite, followed by INJURY TIME and MASTER GEORGIE.
