for years iOS has had a bug where notification sounds, keyboard sounds, etc. will randomly be ear-splittingly loud. it has never been addressed so this entire time i've just always kept my phone on silent.

i got a history degree and the only job i could get with it was as a garbage truck dispatcher. i put up with that for 3 months before i decided to get an IT cert, worked as tech support for a year, taught myself how to code, and then just sorta rose thru the ranks

i run an advent of code leaderboard for my job and was planning to make a second leaderboard that allows AI tools due to pressure from the higher-ups. i've just been told that the CEO said I have to have one leaderboard and mandate the usage of AI to prove that we're "all-in on being AI-enabled"

newly developed and earnest opinion that the binding of isaac is the best game ever made. not in terms of storytelling or anything like that. specifically as a videogame it clears basically everything else.

my gigantic sectional takes up so much space in my apartment and is a huge PITA to move. on the other hand, i had like 7 friends sitting on it under a huge blanket on Saturday so I think it's worth putting up with it.
