I remember that episode very well. It was a Friday. The shock value was immense and Debbie’s realisation had us on tenterhooks.

How funny. I was at Rainhill near Liverpool yesterday explaining to my son about the steam trials of 200 years ago taking place on that stretch of line and how BR recreated them 50 years ago when I was in the stands to see it all. Happy days. 🚆
