Timeless

I agree with this and think it should be elevated. However, your post language sounds (at least) negative. I don't think most of us advocate for trams out of ignorance.

That's understandable, but why would that mean we should stop striving towards it and hoping for it? It's a stretch for sure, but negativity towards advocates will surely not make things better.

Why wouldn't American cities also manage to do nicer streets if they're doing trams? Almost everywhere they were implemented, they spurred denser and prettier environments, any continent.

Street and surface parking is the biggest plight of the American continent by the order of magnitude

Well that one doesn't pay women so it's a keeper

It's literally about access, barriers, and what ALL OF US can or can't do in our daily lives.

I connect the fall of "the dictionary" and "the encyclopedia" to the erosion of the flimsy consensus on truth and of the importance of knowing/understanding.

My european country kinda had them from the 1960s - a place with tram and bus turnarounds, amenities, and placemaking. In relatively dense areas of the capital. And I like that concept still.

It's not the ending, it's the point of the film and an actual historical event.

Although I agree, I just think the answer to everything happening is uplifting each other until we're dead. It's tough to do it online, but this will turn them away even more. Idk maybe I'm too naive.

So basically, if you are different than anything they want, you should be murdered in the street? Not even arrest or trial? That sounds like... can't put a finger on it... hm.

There should be a way to enforce these things. I had to dispose of a recalled mattress due to fire hazard. Company never responded to give the money back and you guys never responded to my complaints on that.

I have the previous version which is waterproof and pairs for stereo. Pairing more seems fun. They have good sound and loudness for the price. And are good after 3 years most importantly.

I'm not too knowledgeable about Canada, but as far as I saw it was better. Still, walking through traffic to enter or being a person with disabilities with Toronto streetcar, for ex. should not be happening. By both traffic and ped deaths it's below european avg while being best in Americas.

Was devastated

I loved the House of Cards

I don't want to misunderstand. Do you think it is or it isn't the case in Canada?
January 7, 2026 at 4:44 AM
And that's why I do agree with him on the points of streetscapes and trams. I don't care about these rows too much and don't religiously watch any YT.

As a European in the US. The technicalities of transit are not that much of a problem. It's less good for sure, but mostly not by that much. It's mostly the experience and distances. Makes you feel undignified and inconvenient too often, no matter what transportation option it is.

We permit tech companies to abuse us when we buy the product I guess. At least Samsung can disable things or process AI on the phone unlike some of them.
January 7, 2026 at 12:56 AM
You should be able to disable all of it
January 6, 2026 at 8:33 PM
That's awesome! I do have couple genuine qs: 1.Will it slow down as they near capacity on specific area of land? 2.If so, and people still come in droves bc low rent, will it rise back again? 3.Will the abysmal build quality and lenient regulation come back to bite no-matter-what YIMBY approach?

In my EU country neither, however, we do have hot water pipes bringing it to buildings, so many sidewalks have underground heating and don't have snow or ice 😅
